SMS & email notifications

Keep customers informed and reduce no-shows with automatic notifications.

Email

Email confirmations are sent automatically when a booking is made or cancelled, and the garage owner is notified of new bookings. Email works on all paid plans.

SMS

SMS notifications are available on Pro and Growth. Turn them on under Settings → SMS Notifications, then choose which messages to send:

  • Customer booking confirmation — sent the moment a booking is made.
  • Customer 24-hour reminder — sent the day before the appointment.
  • Owner new-booking alert — texts your garage phone when a booking is made or cancelled.

Owner alerts go to the phone number on your garage profile, so keep it up to date.

Monthly limits

Because SMS has a real per-message cost, each plan includes a monthly allowance:

  • Pro — 600 SMS/month
  • Growth — 2,250 SMS/month

If you reach the limit, SMS pauses for the rest of the month (bookings still work, and email is unaffected). You can also flip the master SMS switch off at any time — a kill switch that stops all SMS immediately.

Sender name

In Ireland and the UK, messages show GarageAgent as the sender. Customers don't reply to these; the message includes your garage phone number for questions.
