Services & pricing

Services are the things customers can book — an MOT, an oil change, a diagnostic. Manage them from Services in the dashboard.

Adding a service

Each service has:

  • Name — what the customer sees, e.g. "Full Service".
  • Duration — how long it takes, in minutes. This sets the length of the booking slot, so a 90-minute service blocks a 90-minute slot in your calendar.
  • Price (optional) — shown to customers. Leave blank for "price on request".
  • Description (optional) — a short explanation shown on the booking page.

How duration affects availability

When a customer picks a service, GarageAgent only offers slots long enough to fit it, and won't let two services overlap. If you set a buffer between jobs, that's added around each booking automatically.

Active vs. inactive

Toggle a service inactive to hide it from the booking page without deleting it — useful for seasonal work or a service you've paused. Inactive services keep their history.

Tips

  • Keep durations realistic — they directly shape how many bookings fit in a day.
  • Order matters: services appear on the booking page in the order you set.
